She certainly is
very shy. You would be, too, if you were weaned before you were
four weeks old. We found this beauty of a kitty at the Durham
Animal Shelter. We were told, "She ain't never gonna be
a normal cat" by the woman at the shelter. We figured that
with Doris as a buddy, Mimi (named for the blue-eyed woman on
The Drew Carey Show) would flourish. She showers Linwood and
I with love and agressive affection, but the minute someone strange
enters the house, she is immediately convinced that her life
is in imminent danger and she flees - usually to the linen closet.
