For
those of you who don't already know, I discovered this marvelous
bit of masa harina while dining in 1997 at the Flying Burrito
in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I had just started working at
the UNC School of Nursing and it seemed like sacrilege to eat
this particular chip. So, "the chip" rode around in
my car for more than a year before I decided to share it with
the rest of the world by creating this crude animated gif. The
rest is (or will be?) history. |

Here
is Elizabeth, a good sport who has donned the chip. She is not
a nurse, but rather a good friend, a fine art historian, and
a curator at one of our nation's historic presidential homes. |
